The Story Behind The Logo

When I was 13 years old, my parents opened our first grocery store in West Chicago, Carniceria La Villita.

As immigrants, they built that business from the ground up with hard work, sacrifice and a deep belief in giving back to our neighbors.

That store became so much more than a business. It became a place where neighbors gathered, shared their stories, supported one another, and built community.

The Inspiration For The New Logo

The hand-written sale signs you often see on latino-owned grocery stores are a symbol of that same idea: perseverance, creativity, and community.

This is the vision I want to take with me as I run for re-election, and we designed this logo to honor that vision.

The Inspiration For The New Slogan

I chose this slogan to remind people that the 25th District is not for sale!

If re-elected State Senator, I will continue to fight for your rights, amplify your voices, and give everyone a seat at the table, as I have done for the past five years.
